How did you get involved with Roller Derby?

I heard about it from a friend then went to a bout and was in love at first sight. I knew I had to do it!!! 

How did you decide on your Derby alias?

Well, Murphy is my last name. I’ve always been “Murf” to everyone. It’s a hard nickname to shake. That, coupled with the fact that Murphy’s Law (“Anything that can go wrong will go wrong and at the worst possible moment…”) tends to be the norm in my world, made me think up “Murphy’s OUTLAW”. I figured by reinventing myself as the “OUTLAW” I could now live above that Law! 

Your favorite thing about Roller Derby?

I love the camaraderie of being in a league that is so supportive. Being part of something that is social, physical, and overall fulfilling is something that I am very grateful that I did for myself.

Broken Wrist

Hmmm. I was raised by sailors…… so most things I say are peppered with filth.
