How did you get involved with Roller Derby?

A friend of a friend skated and they asked me to go to a bout to check it out. I was there five minutes and got the information to try-out. It was love at first sight.

How did you decide on your Derby alias?

I was trying to think of something I liked, and looked down and saw the beer in my hand. Ta-da!

Your favorite thing about Roller Derby?

So many! I love how the league and the roller derby community is a huge extended family. I love the travelling and getting to play and meet new people all over the country. I love the strength and athleticism it requires. I love all the new experiences, challenges, and lessons I’ve encountered along the way. I love that I have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had.

Worst injury?

I’ve been fairly lucky so far, nothing worse than a twisted ankle and a wonky knee.
