I knew someone from MRD (Maine Roller Derby) and she talked about how awesome and life-changing it was. So I tried it. And she was right.
I had a huge list, most of which were names people wouldn’t understand. On my way home from a bout, while rocking out to country music, it came to me. Unfortunately, my car does still have all its wheels but, to be fair, only because I needed the cinder blocks for my trailer.
After a bad day, being able to come to the rink, put on the skates, and work it all out; the way I feel after a hard endurance practice; the teamwork and strategy; my new friends.
I took a wheel to the arse and couldn’t sit properly for a couple of days; I fully expect worse at some point in my career, though.
”That’s what she said.”
a Belgian brew… preferably with a high ABV. I may be country, but I do have some standards.
